    That looks like a button I have apart from mine is modern surplus and its on a whole tunic but very nice pic-ups all in all.

    I assume the button you have is either brass or staybrite/AA and as I mentioned above the RWF used the C spelling from 1920 onward until their amalgamation in 2006. The button I showed is silver plated on the front which was unique to the pre 1920 Volunteer battalions.

    Perhaps Matt you could show your surplus uniform in the British section.

    All post 1920 versions were, the unusual to see with a C are those from before 1920. I look forward to seeing the pics.

    I'd be happy to see the whole tunic with detail shots of all of it including the buttons etc...

    Post it in the western allies uniform section.

    Ok taken the pics need to transfer them and as tea is soon (early) I will post it after oh I got a enough time to post it (couldn't get pics of the buttons camera lost battery)
