That looks like a button I have apart from mine is modern surplus and its on a whole tunic but very nice pic-ups all in all.

On the look out for original ww2 M26 Adrian helmet liner.
I assume the button you have is either brass or staybrite/AA and as I mentioned above the RWF used the C spelling from 1920 onward until their amalgamation in 2006. The button I showed is silver plated on the front which was unique to the pre 1920 Volunteer battalions.
Perhaps Matt you could show your surplus uniform in the British section.
