Default Museum mount for my Feldflasche

    Hi Guys,

Trying to come up with a more unique way to display my Feldflasche than just laying it around, I saw some photos of different artifacts that were "museum mounted" and thought I'd give it a try. Since I work at a business where they do welding, I had one of the guys take a piece of 1/8" steel filler rod and a couple of pieces of 3/32" rod and weld them into an "H" shape. To that he welded a length of 3/16" rod for the stand. After a lot of bending and trial fitting, I found an agreeable angle that not only holds the bottle & cup but also holds the hook in place. The metal work was then painted flat black. I then made a small oak base to finish it off. If I want to remove the flasche from the stand, it just lifts right out.
Now it takes up much less space in the display cabinet and I can lay other items around it. Thanks, Bob

    Very nice. I like it!

Now time to start whipping up some more and start selling them.

Next you can make one for other equipment.
