Re: My canteens
Wow you have a great collection and that's a fantastic story about Karl. Obviously you are specialise in canteen collecting, but have you thought about trying to obtain the rest of his gear just to keep it all together, it seems such a shame that its now being split up.
Great thread keep up the good work.

Yes, I think about it every day, but I don't have enough interest for the other stuff and also I'm constantly short of budget

markings "DRP" (Deutsches Reich Patent) and mysterious "Brm".
Well, the mystery solved: DRP = Deutsche Reichspost; Brm = Bremen.

Re: My canteens
Another drinking cup made in Estonia, Tartu Alumiiniumi Vabrik (Aluminium Factory in Tartu). I have few of these, also some incomplete canteens with exactly the same markings. Which leads me to the conclusion that these canteens were only produced for a short period of time that year, for Red Army.

Re: My canteens
As far as I'm mainly concerned on German WWII canteens I can say nothing about yours. Try out International Militaria or maybe WWI section.
