Got this GJ canteen this week. The cup is made of some very low quality presstoff, coloured brown

Third medic's canteen in my collection, sadly missing some straps (but it was really cheap). Cap is unmarked, the only marking on the bottle is 29, also there are some faded marks on the cover.

Got it this morning, found in Estonia and originally belonged to Estonian volunteer. All parts dated 42.

Third medic's canteen in my collection, sadly missing some straps (but it was really cheap). Cap is unmarked, the only marking on the bottle is 29, also there are some faded marks on the cover.

It turned out to be the canteen for DRK (German Red Cross) ladies. I sold it because I thought it had some straps cut off of it. It's always hard to learn from your own mistakes So whenever someone is offered the big medic's canteen with brown straps and without hook, it's the green light. Mine only missed the long shoulder strap (these are harder to get than canteens, these are also marked) and drinking cup.

Nothing much to be proud of, but still nice ground dug cup, dated 38.
