what did that piston head come out of that i saw in the first set of pics?

I'm not quite sure, it has been made into an ashtray. I got it from my neighbour that got it off a friend, he said it came from an aircraft.

Well, i have gotten a few items from my neighbor(British oxygen mask, piston head, coins and a couple more items) and i find a lot at local flea markets. But i have gotten most of my items off the internet and militaria and arms fairs.

Superb variety, and you live in a beautiful country too!!! The NCOs rank on the British BD - is that correct for the Norwegian Army with the stripes 'upside down'? I have never seen that before. Best wishes,
    Mark

Yes it's correct. Norway used british insignia with the stripes upside down from 1945-1954

As Prest1 said, yes, the uniform is correctly marked for the "Tysklandsbrigade"(The Germany Brigade), Norwegian soldiers occupying Germany, it has been the other way around as well which means it has been in service before 1945 by a Norwegian soldier.
