Holy crap. That’s awesome.
Is there a backstory behind it???
No, I bought it a few years ago to go into my collection and museum and have been adding 2cm associated items to the display ever since. Have a spare magazine of two if your interested.

NEW ADDITIONS:
Hey, this will be the last 20mm related kit i post until after Christmas.
This time its another AP-T Round with some nice markings and a HE-T round with a Copper washed casing. Also got another cardboard tube but this time with a small cardboard roll to protect the projectile. Red band to indicate tracer element.
A nice AP-T with visible paint markings that state. “wg623148g - Zert” then a waffenamt stamp with the numbers unreadable, there is also a three letter maker mark that i cant work out which letters it is at the moment. Will update at later point. Casing states it was made in 1943 by WA “HASAG”, Hugo schneider AG, lampenfabrikation
Projectile isn’t anything special but has red band paint still left so its a High explosive trace (HE-T). The projectile was made by WA again. The dealer must have plenty of these spare to use up on casings.
Copper washed Casing states it was made in 1940 and was made by P345 “Silva-Metallwerke GmBH. I cannot remember at the moment if a triangle indicates rework or practice round. Will again update when found out.
This is the cardboard projectile holder in action.
Nicely presented.....thank you
Thanks composite. Perhaps i should start watermarking.
UPDATE ON STAMPS-
The AP projectile had the marking eds= Zündapp-Werke GmBH / Zündergehäuse, Mun.-teile, Motorräde.
The + symbol found on 43 dated WA casings actually means the casing has an extra stong bottom, whatever that really means

I may have lied about those other two being my last purchases for a while. I have found a few more that will be posted.
This is a 1938 dated dummy practice round. The projectile has no inner cavity and is made of aluminum. Unfortunately the fuze is made of zinc i think and that could be zinc pest. Quite sad but i shall apply something to combat it.
The maker marks are as followed.
Projectile body “cpn” Rheinmetall-borsig AG/ zünder muntion.
Year 193* or “40” as there are markings to suggest both
Casing = P345 Silva-Metallwerke Gmbh
Dated 1938
Interestingly i now have 3 cases made by maker “P345” Silva-Metallwerke Gmbh.
So what we can gather from their shell casings is
In 1936 they used brass casings and the shells were approved by WaA294
In 1938 they used brass casings and the shells were approved by WaA73
In 1940 they used copper washed casings and the shells were approved by WaA73
So they switched to WaA73 at some point between 1936-8 and by 1940 they no longer used brass shell casings.
Not really important information. But interesting nonetheless!
Coming up next time is nicely painted AP round
