Thank you Eric for the kind words.
Today I was rudely awaken by the Postman at 9:15 but I am glad I got up
I received a complete box of (10x10) winterhilfswerk clay constellations. 20 euro for the box.
I also brought 10 WW1 German POW letters, the seller originally wanted 100 euro for the letters; I made an offer of 20 euro to which he accepted.
Thank you, Glen.
Hi
A fantastic collection Glen!
Have you done any research into the World War One British medals?
Thanks
Cameron
Hey Cameron,
Thank you for your kind words, I am happy to be able to share it with you guys.
I have done no research into the WW1 British medals as I wouldn't know where to start.
One BWM I was given it by the son of the veteran when we were clearing through his house, I also have kept a lot of documentation on the receipt including death certificate as they were only going to be thrown out.
I would love to have some more information concerning my WW1 trio, Victory medal and BWM.
Any tips on how I can find out more information for free?
Thank you, Glen.
Hi
Well a good place to start is having a look on the National Archives website and search their online database of medal index cards (see link provided). Unfortunately if you want to look at the documents you have to pay a small fee but it is well worth it in my opinion.
Another opinion is signing up to Ancestry, obviously you have to pay but you have access to more detailed information.
The documents could also be of great help. Would you mind showing them?
If you post the names and details of the men I would be more than happy to look what more informaion can be found when I am visiting the archives?
