Here's how I display mine, I got the rack off ebay.

Hello Lee,
If you look at my rifles mounted it is easy and you only need to drill four holes for up to four weapons.
I used two pieces of timber and bought some garden tool aluminium hooks (5 for a couple of quid in a shop like Wilkinsons) they are used to hang spades etc so have two hooks joined together. These are easy to cut in half so you now have hooks for 10 rifles etc out of a pack of 5.
You screw the timber into the wall the same way as you intend to screw the hooks. Two screws one top and one bottom.
The Aluminium hooks screw into the wood so as I said four holes in the wall in total.
If you screw the hooks directly into the wall you will have a lot od screw holes to fill in.
