The jacket was a gift from my father in law, He saved it from the house fire along with the rest of the items and most of his other stuff. He saved all the family history but lost about everything else in the 1990s

That's a great set of 98K's! I was wondering, though-have you put something on the Erfurt and the P38? They look like they've been greased?

I have actually! It is called FrogLube, and it works like cosmoline but has no oils in it. Perfect for long term storage. http://www.froglube.com/roothome.htm
You can actually eat this stuff! Non-toxic and smells like peppermint! I put it on because I was gone for that 6 months or so and I didnt want to have someone go oil them up now and then.

Very nice collection you have there, indeed the Gew 88 is a turkish supplied one and if i see well it is 1940 dated when the turks had their old supplied eguipment repaired and refubrished.
