Was a real treat browsing at all these fine collections. Am sure many have the carbon steel blades from way back. like the tanto shaped blade folders myself for EDC. So many choices as far as makers and blade steel these days.

My modest collection of Knickers.
Ralph.
The top two have been previously posted in post 62.
The third one down was brought to Canada by my father in 1954 and was used to dress the rabbits that I raised when I was young.
The next one is one I picked up because of the uniqueness of the handle. It has a maker's mark that I do not recognize.
If someone knows, I would appreciate the information for my records.
The smaller one with the carved stag handle I picked up, well, just because.
And the last smaller one for the same reason.
Also, this example by AWJ, Anton Wingen Jr.

Wonderful stags. I completely understand why you picked up #4.
That ia a great handle.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Here are the photos of the one I recently added to my collection. It would make a nice camp knife, with enough size and weight to be a good chopper if it were needed.
It is 13" long.
When my friend found this at a militaria show, the older gentleman who was sitting at the table said to my friend when he picked it up, "if that were real stag, it would be worth a lot more".
My friend could only agree with him, and paid his asking price.

That's quite a blade, in the Crocodile Dundee tradition.
Another recent addition to my knife collection.
These are normally difficult to find for a reasonable price and still have the original sheath.
This example has been used, and has a little sharpening on the blade but it is not too bad. It will do until I am able to find a better example.
This folding Bowie knife is made by Wilhelm Weltersbach.
