The JEH 43 is the makers mark and year of manufacture, 1943.

The Mills bomb (No. 36 grenade) was made in 1944 which is what the '44' in the circle means on the base nut. The lettering on the top filler nut tells you what explosive was in it.

Lastly, have a look at the base of the .50cal cartridge. It will have two or three letters and one or two numbers. The letters are the manufacturer and the numbers are the year. If the stamp just says '4', that denotes 1944.

    Hope this helps

Check out the sticky threads in the ordnance forum.....you will be able to use them to track down the manufacturers

    Cheers

    Just a little reminder AllanT!!!
I do hope you have a "magasin samlertilladelse"! Or else the magazine is illegal to own in Denmark. And the grenade is illegal. You are not allowed to own a grenade unless it is a "cutaway" like this one: Granater

I don't think the police are reading international forums, but if you post the pictures on a Danish forum, you could get into trouble. It happened to one of my friends once!

    Better safe than sorry!

    Hello Webbing,
    Thanks for the warning.
I realised this when I applied for a weapons permit (edged weapons) a few weeks ago. Before that I didn't realise that it was illegal to own relics like that!
I have donated all my items to RDAF, so I don't actually have the items here anymore Don't ask where I work
So now, the only leagal relic I have is an old AK 47 bajonet (the one with the wire cutter)

Well just a trying to help. It is expensive to be caught with illegal weapons etc. And it is hard to obtain a permit later if you are caught red handed.
It is so irritating to get all the damn permits. Blankvåben, magasiner, historiske våben, revolver uden antal...
