yes thats true.and my wife's grandpa who fought during the civil war here in Greece dont want to tallk to much..(of course he has and a problem from that time.wooden legs.Big problem for a young boy he was then.big shock)

Here are two new items in my collection, i found here in Thessaloniki in a local bazzar

first item is a Ausweis from a local woman here in port of Thessaloniki..this item was so many years in hands of the family .

and second item a small book with German songs.Dont know very much about the history behind

Thanks for posting your father's diploma. So the medal was awarded in 2007.

i believe there are more items we can imagine in basements, houses etc ..hope to be again in same place the right time

I do think your collection is really nice and I love your fathers tunic 1974 , thats special.

Negative, I'm a dinky die Aussie, however my parents are both from Greece.
Let it be known, I am proud of having a Greek background and to be honest its Greek blood that flows through me.
I have learnt to read it , write it and speak it, and its history fascinates me.
Of recent times I have started to collect the Greek things that interest me and have made many true friends in the motherland.
