Steamed the knocks out the stock and a general clean up came up nice ...

Stalin Factory, ZIS (Zavod imeni Stalina, Завод имени Сталина at russian) marked by letter "З",

I love the history to the ppsh41 so many used the captured ones from Germans and they even converted it to 9mm parabellum ,americans, aliies in general .. still getting used to this day built to last ,chromed barrels even back then . the stick mags are getting rare and prices are going up this deact spec has moving slide and trigger got the whole kit at a great price , i sold a huge deact collection years ago when we had kids and bought a house etc .. but trying to get some good kit back ..

Yes, one cant be interested in militaria or the evolution of SMGs and circumvent or ignore the PPSh.
It certainly carved out its own place in firearms history and deservedly gets honorable mention here and else where.

What was the stock like when you got it? What year is it? I prefer mine to keep their little knocks ,I prefer the used look, part of its history I guess. All you need now is a nice early stick mag to go with it !!

yeah i agree with the history but alot of damage comes from post war and storage etc , i dont mind giving them a second life .. i know someone who had a great looking sten after a couple of years it looked like he dropped it from the forth road bridge lol sold it for pennies ive got a pic of the stock before i'll post it ... not bad condition but steamed all these marks out ....
