The pic I post was due to my wife constructing shelves for my helmets and having to vacate everything out, all the rest is in big tubs now and relatively moth proof and in the spare room (but it's overflowing), here's a link that I shared previously of the Mrs work

My small collection.
Here are 2 tunics , they both are restored jobs i've done, and the incomplete one i'm working on right now.
The completed one was in horribly stained, seams were out about 60 %, belt hooks missing - replaced those, and repaired all seams, replaced all buttons, and i sewn in the collar cord.
I own more SS photographs then that, This is just some of my favorites.
I picked up that Dachau camp note years ago, and i made the frame, and the sheet it sits in, I think it looks pretty good.
I'm working out a deal right now for an Allgemeine SS tunic.
Majority of those items on the shelves were awarded to me, or i earned them.
I know its a very tiny collection compared to the other members in here, but i'm working on it.
I keep the limited prints rolled up, and in plastic tubes.

Another tunic to add to my collection.

Update on the stripped Brownshirt i have been working on.
Sewn in single shoulder board.
All i need now, is a nice armband for it.

Nice work Brian. I also spy some ribbon bar and award loops that would look nice filled up. Just to help spend some more money for you
Cheers, Ade.
Yes, Im trying to find a small ribbon bar, and a SA sports badge, as I'm sure that's what was there at one time, as that seems like the norm.
I did all of the sewing by hand, no machine sewing at all.
What do you think of that shoulder board ?
thanks
Brian
SA and political stuff in general is not what I collect. The red underlay does look very wide to me though.
Yes, nice work on the sewing. I can do a little sewing myself but my Mum is great with a needle and thread.
Cheers, Ade.
Ive been looking everywhere for the last 6- 8 months for that certain type of shoulder board, could not find it, so i made it myself.
Please keep in mind, That brownshirt is for my private collection, never for sale, at least not that one.
On all collar tabs i sew on, i use a double needle type stitching, and i interlock the thread underneath to make sure the collar tab is secure.
And i do use original WW 2 German era thread .
