Hi Jan, it is very good that you are showing the youngsters things from the war.
Is that an Arisaka bayonet? I know the Finnish forces used a wide variety of kit?
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Jan, that is a wonderful display. I'm glad they are still in touch with reality in Finland. Here in the states, most schools will not allow any type of war display within the school itself. Praticularly weapons for display are prohibited. I think it's a much more concrete lesson if the kids can physically look at history instead of just looking at pictures in a book.
Nice work Jan

Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.

But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Nice! Is this your first public display?
Yes actually it is, there were helmets included too but no weapons, as I soon realized this was quite sufficient. Insurance is a bit of a problem in schools in Finland.
Awesome, i too this year had my first public display a museum. I am very happy.
Im sure when you did this, you were happy too.
Fantastic.
Cheers.
