I like your collection but,
may I ask where do you get the idea this was a christmas-1941 plate?
Jul. is the abreviation for July in German IMO.

Jul= Christmas in Norwegian. It is more likely it was for Christmas, why make a plate for just an average month?

I didn't know that Jul meant Christmas in Norwegian.
I was under the impression that it was made for the German army so therefore I concluded that Jul. was the German abreviation of the month July.
You see a lot of trench art or plates with just a date on it to remember a battle or celebrate something special that happend.
But my bad, I jumped to conclusions to quickly.

Christmas is Weihnachten in german...

"Joelmaand" (Joel-) is Christmas in old Flemisch as well!
