    Just found those old dia boxe's, on a flee market for one €.
    And I tought they could be usefull for a new live; carrying militaria when traveling AND be usefull as a more or less safe display.

    Maybe I have to performe them with some foam forms to prevent the items of banging around when traveling.

    Here is some explenation;
    -I removed the centre piece dividing the box, cut off in the height (to make sure the plexi would fit on top )
    -cut the same piece in two !! in the lenght !! watch your fingers!!
    -sand the both cut off parts to repare the mess
    -glue them in the cover
    -cut small boards to make the divisions
    -cut and sand the plexi ...and you are ready to go!
    Silly but amusing between two job's.

    So here is the result.

    Very creative ! Great idea for old microscope slide containers !

    Yes, line the inside with felt or something
    to protect the buckles ! ( which are also very nice ! )

    I was thinking that the saluting silhouette of sebfrench76 would look nice on the top of the box.
