As I said at the beginning of the thread I ’m a Portuguese War Cross Medal collector and enthusiast, I shared some pieces of my collection, I hope you enjoyed and learned more about it.
What I write is my point of view about the Portuguese War Cross Medal (Medalha da Cruz de Guerra Portuguesa) so I apologize to other collectors for some mistake.

Share with you all my new Portuguese War Cross 3rd class 1946 model.
One of the characteristics of the 1946 model medals are the surface treatment given the medal body to show the type of class, in this case is silver. The 3rd Class its represented with a small Templar cross in Silver on the ribbon.
Share my rusty old Portuguese War Cross 4th class 1946 model.
I share my Portuguese War Cross 2nd class 1917 model.
One of the most famous Portuguese medal group.
Can be seen the following, from left to right.
- Portuguese war cross medal 4th class;
- Campaign Service Medal in France 1917-1918 (to recognize wartime service);
- Portuguese World War I Victory medal.
I share with you my new Portuguese war cross medal 1971 model in 1st Class.
The Templar cross in the ribbon is a different shape type from that presented at the beginning of thread.

Can be seen the following, from left to right.
- Portuguese war cross medal in 4th class model 1946;
- Campaign Service Medal in North of Angola 1961-1963 (to recognize wartime service).

I share with you my Portuguese war cross medal 1971 model 1st Class in mint condition.
The class of all the models of Portuguese War Cross medals are represented by the small Templar crosses on the ribbons of the medals. As I said, in the 1917 model the Templar crosses on the ribbons appears with shapes completely different, stamp type, in cast, handmade, etc. as you can see in this samples:
