Hi Chris as far as I know there was no version of a camo issued field cap all the ones I have seen have either being home made and or are knock offs of the M-43 there used to be a seller on E-Bay Canada that used to sell them manufactured from zeltbahn material but I have not noticed them in some time now.
Hi Gary a lovely collection of DPM there the SAS,Aircrew,Parasmocks, and private purchase items are just killer some of which I have never seen before I might add I do notice an absence of any tropical DPM in your collection or have I missed it or you have not shown it yet.
Regards Mark
Hi fellow collectors, I thought you might be intersted in seeing these items. A little bit of history behind these rare clothing item. Prior to the now very commonly seen S95 clothing system being introduced there were trials which were carried out at the Infantry Trails & Development Unit (ITDU) in Warminster UK. Only trials clothing types feature the SCRDE Red label's which relates to the Specialist Clothing Research and Development Establishment. The following items are examples from my collection of the lightweight jacket ,secondly another pristine example of the lightweight jacket, and a Goretex Jacket. ( And sorry no they are not for sale)
Hi Gary many thanks I have a soft spot for Brit and Canadian DPM and have a few sets my self including some trop light shirts and trousers.
Regards Mark
Nice Gary I absolutely love the different variations in color and construction found in the tropical DPM pattern

Here I have show some examples of the British S95 Type MTP ( Multi Terrain Pattern),which is now known as 1st generation in some circles as it has been superseded by the PCS MTP ( Personal Clothing System - Multi terrain Pattern), acronyms apart hopefully my examples of the S95 type which were all worn in the Afghanistan conflict will demonstrate the fundamental differences in the way the garments were designed. I have shown some pictures of the major differences between the S95 type and the PCS type, any questions or queries please feel free to ask, thanks for looking
Notice the S95 type on the left which features large Canadian style buttons and the PCS Type on the right which has slanted pockets and hidden buttons, and a lot more non-stealthy velcro...great if you need to dig out your chocolate bar's on mission...not!
PCS again all hidden buttons and lot's more non-stealthy velcro fastenings!
And finally a picture demonstrating the arm sections of PCS on top, with Velcro attached "blanking piece which is used for attaching insignia etc, and the original S95 type below, of note is the difference of colours, the original MTP had more peach coloured hues in the pattern ,whereas the newer version seems to have lost all it's peach hues, shame as I am rather fond of Peaches!!!!
