    James, I would argue that such helmets DO have a place on this forum! if it were not for the splendid effort of the miners during WW2 - especially the 'Bevan Boys,' the British industry would have struggled to keep up with the demands placed on it to make the weapons needed to defend our shores and to fight back against the enemy.

    thank you steve thats a good pointi was hoping the pulpware helmet was a bevin boys example but it was pointed out the liner has imperial and metric ink stampings thanks james

    Yes James, it is a cork construction covered with a oily cloth....
