these are actually fantastic for displaying. Lots of light, can see from all angles and don't even look like they are there so they don't make a room look crowded

When my son moved out years ago, I converted his basement bedroom into my office. Over time I started displaying my RCAF collection in my office. Slowly, I also began storing vintage English bicycle frames and parts in my office. I came up with a two phase plan to solve the over crowding in my office.

Phase one was to move my RCAF collection to our loft where I would have more space to house my collection plus better natural lighting. Phase two was to convert my office, which I no longer needed since retiring, into an Irish Pub, removing my son's old built-in Captain's bed and utilizing that "nook" for a bar.

I searched the internet for ideas, drew up plans, and when I had it all worked out, submitted my proposal to the Home Planning Commissioner (Wife). Proposal was taken under advisement and after some deliberation, was rejected.

Back to square one, office will become an RCAF themed pub. The photos below show some of my uniforms, a lighted display case where I show off my head gear and a larger custom display case, 37" high, 48" wide and 12" deep. This display case will actually be the base for my bar. Typical bar height is 42" tall, so all I need to do is put it on a 5" tall platform, add a proper bar top and I have my display case bar where I will be able to display two uniforms on upper torso mannequins.



This will become my bar. Can ou see my vision?

I think the DETOLF cabinets are the best value and quality for collectors, especially with a little strip-lighting.
