Great to see the contributions posted so far, some truly great pick ups and it seems a lot of us had a good year. I could easily have posted half a dozen great pick ups this year in different categories.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.

    Great idea this thread Jerry.

I have picked up a few wound badges, pins, and some
nice medals, but I guess my 'favourite' is the U.S.
sword below. It's not a perfect or complete
example ( no scabbard ) but a good
    representative piece.

Wanted one for years and will likely buy more old
    swords in the future.........

Hi all, there are some very impressive items on this thread, Glenn your book owned by Claus von Stauffenberg has to be my favourite he is one of my favourite historical figures. One of my favourite items i purchased this year was a British battledress owned by a colonel who served in both the first and second world wars and i was also able to get the book he wrote of his exploits.

Such a hard decision. Three items I picked up this year are pictured but if I really have to choose one then it'd be the poppies.

I think they date from the 1920s but can't be certain.

An easy choice for me this year, The military medal won by my Grandmother's cousin in 1917, great to have it back in the family.

    Priceless!!!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

You don't "find" them every day; the pre WWI Belgian military uniform parts, so I went for the "all you can carry" motto during last sale I visited.......
Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!
