Hi Greg, yes, but the loops are present on his tunic to take the ribbon bar.

I would always go "by the book".

    Cheers, Ade.

Played dress up this morning as it was raining (and I was trying to sort out some webbing for another thread)
A 12th Army Royal Artillery Lt. The BD blouse is dated 1944, the trousers 1942, the majority of the webbing is 1940 and the boots 1945.

I believe the BD makes this a Major of the 44th ( Home Counties) Division (T.A.) C.1946. The BD is a large size and dated 1944 it has a tailored collar. Due to the fact that a pen has leaked in the pocket I picked it up cheap several years ago for around £30 but not as cheap as the 12th army BD above which I got for £2.99

Hi Ade , I swore that i had seen some pics of German officers wearing a EK1 with no ribbon bar or ribbon for a EKII
Here are some more examples of this, but generally speaking this was rare.

Default Luftwaffe Pilot - Summer Flight Suit

    Hello,

Please find the final photo shots of my Luftwaffe Pilot Mannequin in the summer flight suit. It exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with how everything fit. Thanks guys for your encouragement and support. Sure makes collecting easier and more enjoyable when you have others who desire the preservation of historical items such as these. Hope you like.
