On page 60 he has it as being in 13th infantry company, 58th Infantry Division, 154th regiment. That's in May 1940. He was enlisted at that time. Does that add up Paul?

Yep, my bad, he was in 58th Division, from the shakey dedication in my copy of his book, the 'I.D' looks like 'I.R'.

Hmm - not quite sure where to show this - but I suppose it is as good a place as any.

In a previous thread, I said that a lady I work with mentioned that her Grandfather had made the coffin for von Richthofen. An interesting titbit.

After talking with her a little longer, she said that an American Author had contacted him and had actually included her Grandfather in his book.

Now, I can't claim this book as my own - it has been lent to me for both a read and for me to put it on the Forum, together with some other information.

    Grandfather: Fred Lienert
Book: Who Killed the Red Baron (1969)
Authors: PJ Carisella and JW Ryan

[Edit: You have to love the author. He was sent a turnbuckle from von Richthofen's aircraft, gratis, and then questions if it is genuine...]

    Cheers
    Tim

    This week is happy.

I received to Mr. Franz Wilhelm Lochmann and Mr. Günter Halm's reply.

    They are very kind.

I can't find information about him. (ex. career, score...)
