Yes, they're faked quite extensively, especially the triptychs with gold leaf images. These go for £000's and are quite a mine field for the unwary.

I'm afraid that it was one of the first to go. I bought it back in 1972 from a Belgian dealer and sold it 3 years ago for about 20 times what I'd paid for it.
