Thought it may have been an Army ships det flag but looks like two crossed swords....His coulour patch if for Army Engineer water Transport, that same colour patch is used today by Royal Australian Corps of Transport LCM8 crews up in Darwin, but that flag has got me stuffed!!

...oh the slouch hat with the union jack and swords patch is actually a british WW2 used slouch hat(but its made in australia-1943)...its part of the british WW2 RASC(ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS)...WAR DEPARTMENT FLEET....ive got a flag thats from that unit also....
