    Hi!
Yes I have read it although the links don´t seem to work. When talking to my german friend, he says it is okey to search places that isnt private land, then you must ask for permission, otherwise it is okey as long as it doesnt have signs that forbids you to, as Hurtgenwald have on some locations. I have a very nice link to metal detecting laws in germany:
    - German Metal Detecting Laws

But if it is wrong please let me know.

Yes have been planning this for some years now, finally we are going there, just cant decide what place to search, is so many interesting places.
Cant speak german to good, so it would be nice to have someone from germany to search with, good when talking to locals about the places u are searching, they often know where the battles took place in details, and some history is always nice to learn.
