    Hi guys,

Does somebody know what this could be and if it is WW2 related? I found it in my uncle's garden close to the Belgian-German border.

It looks as though it is made of aluminium, and is very similar to the type of end-cap that you would find fitted to an instrument knob - possibly a focuser on an optical instrument. The three holes appear to be countersunk, and I would assume were for mounting screws.

The second item you have there looks like an old battery. Found quite a few of them myself in the field.
