    Hi!

This flag had been in the loft for many, many years. It belonged to a relative who fought for the Polish Army.

Any ideas of origin? Unit? Am sure it is WW2 but that is all I know.

Am very interested in finding out more about this flag.

    Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

It is certainly a very nice WW2 era flag. Can we see the other side please?

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Ade!

    Thanks for your warm welcome!

As you can see the other side (back) is blank. No embroidery or words at all! Sorry to disappoint!

    Thanks,

Hi Mush, thanks for the extra photos.

The slogan is the usual "Workers of the world unite!" (Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь!) and was the Soviet State motto.

The flag is a generic type used by many state organisations. Without any details to the back I cannot pin down who would have used it exactly.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks Ade.

Yes it's a tough one to work out. Perhaps we will never know.

I must say the embroidery on this flag is of top quality. The detail to the stitching is amazing and this may enhance its value.

    Thanks,
    Mushy

    Hi!

Yes Dimas. I wonder why that is? There must be a reason why the reverse is blank?

    Thanks,
    Mush

It was most likely an unfinished item taken from a factory I guess?

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi all!

If I wanted to sell this flag where would be the best place to go? Auction house? Ebay?

    Thanks,
    Mushy
