Any chance of getting a front view of it?
The enamel seems shrunked at different places or is damaged.
Hi Kris
I have the star here in my hands and the enamel is not damaged. Is it WW2 and for which cap?
here's a front shot
hey Mat,
I don't know anything about those items, but I do see a shrink of the enamel at 3 places.... that would make me doubt.
Hi Matt, it is a good original 1936 pattern cap star. The size will determine what cap it is for.
24mm for the Pilotka
34mm for the Furashka (Visor) cap
38mm for Senior Officers caps.
Cheers, Ade.
thanks Ade!
ahem... not sure if i measure it right but the star is 30 mm ?
....no other way to get close to the figures ??
well, if you measure the internal diameter of the star is 10 mm and if you measure the external diameter is 30 mm
What type of measuring device are you using?
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
with a more accurate tool it shows 31 mm. Or we measure it in a different way?
