Its a interesting story he tells, but I don't believe him, any more than the other ekm that he says is from Normandy and yet has been artificially aged exactly the same as this one. Cheap, but wrong.

I can only agree with You,
Thanks for help.

Hello gentleman. I came across this possible battle relic erkennungsmarke. Would appreciate Your opinios on it's authenticity!? Good or fake?
Checked out on the web that the 20. Kompanie was in the IV. Bataillon, so it has exsisted during the war time:
Stab Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler:
I. Bataillon (1. - 5. Kompanie)
II. Bataillon (6. - 10. Kompanie)
III. Bataillon (11. - 15. Kompanie)
IV. Bataillon (16. - 20. Kompanie)
Thanks and best regards,
Peter
Are you sure kompanie 20 was not in Bataillon V (5th) ?
For Heer that would be the case, 4 kompanie per bataillon. Not sure with SS, but I would have thought the same.

Hello.
That's the info I found in several resources.
And V. Bataillon is Wachtruppe in Berlin.

Peter

It makes no difference to the item in post #1. I have never seen an original LAH ekm marked in such a way.
