    Reserve Flak Division 801.

    Issued on 26 August 1939 in Vienna from parts of the 1st / Flak Regiment 8 with five batteries (1st - 4th heavy and 5th light battery). In September 1940 the department was located in Braunschweig. In July 1941, the 1st battery was returned to the 1st / light Flak Division 834 and then again. In December 1942, the department in the Luftgau XI was deployed. In July 1942, the department was assigned to the heavy Flak Division 801 (o). At the end of 1942 the department was reclassified. In the process, the 5th battery was placed on the 4th / light anti-aircraft unit 754 and again. At the same time a sixth heavy battery was installed. In 1943, the 4th battery became a heavy anti-aircraft battery, eg. 1534 and by the air gun fire battery 210. From 1943, the department served as the Flaktergruppe Hannover-Ost. In November, she joined the staff of the Flak 25th Regiment at the 15th Flak Brigade. In June 1944, she joined the staff of the Flak 25th Regiment at the 8th Flak Brigade. In September 1944, a seventh battery from the heavy anti-aircraft battery, 5925.

    Hi, yes it was a Luftwaffe flak unit, they operated 88mm batteries in the air defence of Hannover.
