    Hello,
    I picked up this dog tag at an outdoor sale and I'm trying to learn a bit about it. I know it's 1st SS panzar Div but that's all. I believe it's authentic but I'm not sure as I'm still learning about items like this. Can anyone help me shed some lite on this.

    Hello and welcome to the forum!

    The tag you have there is a fake made after the war, very sorry. Dog tags are faked very often, and SS tags are very desirable. I hope the cost of your education was not too high or that you can return it.

    Check out the SS erkennungsmarken (identity discs) threads in the top part of this section of the forum for examples of originals before you purchase. As Eike41 implies there are many fakes about, more so than ever as the interest in collecting Ekm has grown in recent years.
