I dont think tht someone has a Erkennungsmarken database, or access to it.

I think only the God and guys from WASt in Berlin are holding them, tide. You supposed to know the new german law about dataprotection.. That expalain a lot. There's no need to continue this discussion on board.. I suggest PM service, regards
Volksbund peoples also has a acecss to database

Just a question.
Im a new collector of erkennungsmarken.
should I cover up the "rollnumber" when I show id-discs on this forum?
Best regards
Laplander
I thought he meant about Erkennungsmarken in general- there are a couple of books, one that's okay and one, well I'm dubious of, but really neither is that useful in learning how to spot good or bad discs, for example or contains anything any long-time collector can tell you; really sharing here on a forum like this much better if for no other reason than you can get specific answers and each one teaches many whereas a book only helps one. Overall, I always recommend to people to ask experts and learn by observing- buying books isn't really even a good way way by any means.
If this is what you meant and not about the disc list database
@ Laplander
I can think of no reason to cover the number- and if you mean in a set with a Soldbuch like previously posted, definitely not since it's necessary to demonstrate the disc is indeed the one marked on the document.
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
Interesting thred.
So if i have an Erkennungsmarke i can send the info and number to the Volksbund and they can help me to identify it ??
I have just got this in my collection.
