Hello,

I would be much obliged for any help regarding this ID tag. Normally, I don’t collect these but I have been specifically looking for the 1st Gebirgs-Division related items for some time. The dealer who offers it seems trustworthy, yet I would like to hear opinions from the experts first as I really do not know anything about the German ID tags at all. Therefore I fear this opportunity might be "too good", especially with coming across a "lucky" roll number like this. What is your opinion this ID tag?

1st kompanie, stamping is correct for this tag, dating it to the creation of the unit in 1939. For me it is good.
