Erkennungsmarke is it real or fake?

Article about: im totally not into ID tags but a friend of mine brought this one for examination. Please help him with your knowledge, thx in advance

    Oh it sounds pretty probable Matt; the number is low, and the ID tag itself "look early war" and is made of aluminum... My curiosity was simply stronger when I read details about both AR246 and AR33. And the idea about multiples of the same numbers didn't come in my mind, good point!

    The disk came from a collector who lives in Den Haag, Holland.
    No futher details about it, so no way to verify that way.
