I was looking at my ID discs this morning. I peruse the spotting the fake section. To be honest I'm not sure about this ID disc.

I was looking at my ID discs this morning. I peruse the spotting the fake section. To be honest I'm not sure about this ID disc.
As you can see it's a zinc one, and it has oxidized out parts of some of the letters. It's the lower case "I". Rather odd to me they look like small capitol "t" with a dot over them.
The faker for this one has got himself a bit confused as the 4 SS Polizei Division never had a Panzer Regt ( only an Abt ) nor one with a 7 Unit designation . One of the first things to research is did the unit exist !
Thats before we get onto the font and stampings !!
