I can only find several quotes of the "ost" regiment:

    31.05.1943
Ausb.Btl.“Ost“ in Shitomir (Ausbildungs-Züge) versetzt.

(WV, 31.3.43 ?)

The question is why Espenlaub tagged it as Dutch as there is no info supporting it. Important to mention that the seller that sold my half EKM to me that it was found around Nowgorod (what supports the hypothesis that its Dutch, as they were participating in liquidation of the Second Shock Army).

    Your thoughts are highly appreciated

What I understand from it is that it's about the Frw. Legion Flandern and Sturmbrigade Langemark. And they both are Belgian volunteer units and not Dutch. For example the Dutch where in the Frw. Legion Niederlande or in Regiment Westland from the Wiking Division.

That is exactly the question, why Espenlaub has decided that its Dutch.

Maybe someone at Espenlaub didn't do his research?

Now that it has been cleared up it is a nice original EKM !
