it looks very messy so to speak i have not seen this before on the id disks i have seen (wich is not that many so dont take my word for it) but i think it looks dubious btw what makes you say wiking the W stands for waffen and otherwise i think it would say "5/w-ss
It is a Depot Disk. Waffen SS training pool Heidelager not Wiking. The location is interesting Heidelager was a famous V-2 test site must have been an SS training site as well.
Having never before seen such a disk I cannot say it is original. Need to find out if the unit existed and such.
I am still looking if it's genuine or not. Seller got also second one but Wiking.
Heidelager was the main Training camp for the Waffen SS Truppenübungsplatz der Waffen-SS Debica in Poland it was known as this until March 1943 when it became known as SS-Truppenübungsplatz “Heidelager” i have seen tags to Debica of this type but it is logical to assume that tags issued after March 1943 would carry the Heidelager name !

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Unfortunately the FAB Wiking tags are faked a LOT, there are several threads in this forum about them with pics I recommend you search them to see how this one stacks up.
I am not buying anything that is not determined as genuine ... that's why I am asking but my doubts were from the first time I saw them
