The designation is 3 Kompanie Totenkopf Infanterie Training Btl I ?
A couple of things are odd as i said at the end it should be a number 1 not the letter I plus bearing in mind the same stamp will have been used why there is a single - on one half and a double = on the other ?

if there is no clear answer about goodness of this tag, would you explain your opinion just as "this seems more good" or "this seems more bad
"?
I am actually the owner of this tag and I would like to exchange it - but without your expertise its hampered so far

Well, first of all, the typeface is different to original. Second the typeface is well known for use on german fakes.

Plus as i've said the unit designation is no good, luckily some fakers don't bother to learn how German unit desigantions were put together.

Why is the unit designation wrong?
There was Totenkopf Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon I.
Personally I have no probs with the unit itself.

Can you show a tag with that designation ? As far as i know Btl and I are for the same unit so why hvae it twice ?

Sure I have. Actually I have original tags from all 3 Totenkopf Ersatz bataillone I, II and III. However I don't really like posting the pictures as this is like feeding the fakers. Send me PM and maybe I will send you some pics.

But also am 20. Oktober 1939 als erste Ersatzeinheit das SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Ersatzbataillon I in Breslau aufgestellt !!
So the actual tags were marked with the I and not 1 ?
