It looks fine to me minnie- 4. Batterie Artillerie-Regiment 2; not just pre-mid-1941, but since it's a field unit, not an Ersatz unit, and the unit acquired this exact title in 1935, this guy was serving when the war started. thanks matt,i do like them but have seen lots of threads on them and you guys know soooooo much and i know a big fat zero,the ebay ones from poland seem to have a lot more data stamped on them is that common?regards and thanks again minnie.
Well there's not really 'more information', it's simply a matter of the proper title of the unit; a field unit is shorter than a replacement and training unit because the latter contain those words as part of the title. There's never anything more than a unit, roll number and blood group- so the information level is identical.
