Good man- not that I dislike answering questions, but it's always appreciated if people have a look first because often answers are here already

You may also be wondering about the '44K' marking- it's a very common one indicating the year this man joined the KM and K is the letter code for Laufbahnen ('occupations') XIV, XV and XVII, which were Marineartillerie, Kraftfahr, and Waffenwart, respectively- so this man was one of those.
