Original metal stamps for Erkennungsmarken???

We are talking a lot about Erkennungsmarken but I have not found a topic about how Erkennungsmarken were made. My friend from Slowenia just informed me that he bought an interesting metal letter stamps set (27 letters, 6mm high) for me as a present. As he knows that I collect WWII items he sometimes finds something interesting for me.

What do You think, is it original set for making Erkennungsmarken? I have read from manual for German officers that at least in 1941 height of Erkennungsmarke letters was 5mm but as we see from this forum very different letters were used. Your opinions, please!

There was a wide varitey of sizes used to be sure- but the vast, vast majority were serif letters, and these are sans-serif so I'd doubt they'd have ever been used for Erkennungsmarken; it's also really not accurate to talk about stamps 'for' Erkennungsmarken anyway as virtually every unit had unique stamp sets, so there was no standard at all; it seems that each set was hand made in each little town in Germany or something LOL
