Hello backsoon,
I write you a pm because there is a small chance that you have found the tag of my grandpa.
He was in 1942 FW by Fl.Ausb.Reg.42 (Salzwedel). In August 42 he ambarrassed the 1/Jagdgeschwader 3 "Udet".
Staffel 1 protect the ground of pitomnik (Platzschutzstaffel).

I have had years of contact with veterans from III Gruppe JG 3 some of whom were part of the Platzschutzstaffel at Pitomnik , what was you Grandfathers name ?
