Is it legal to take such an item from there?

As I thought. If found on the surface it should have been handed in and if dug there the digger should be reported to the authorities. I fail understand why anyone would be proud to own this.
    Regards,

    Whatever its just an opinion.

I have just sent an email of the item to the KL Buchenwald museum and explained that someone may have been digging the camp grounds.

"Found" at Buchenwald ....... it should either be donated to a museum (where it belongs), ..... or destroyed ... enough said.
Not something i'd want to own!...

Not something that should be owned coming from memorialized grounds.

How is it that people still do not understand?

For me it is not a moral issue of owning such an item but the illegality of its acquisition that is the issue.
