SS dogtag
i bought it from a guy who said he had had it for the last 20-30 years.
i'm pretty new in the collecting game, and got absolut no idea on how to spot fake dogtags.
does anybody know where it is from?
and if it's real (which i doubt) what would the price on such be?

I don't see anything wrong with it; the unit existed, the one-piece stamp is nice, the Stammrollennummer is believable and the age looks realistic. Maybe an active SS buyer will have an idea of a price they'd pay...

I have seen prices for similar disks in the 100 to 200 euro range "Ausb.u.Ers.Batl" of SS without SS it is more like a 15 euro disk.
