No pics yet, but would that unit have existed....I hav looked at the lexicon der whermacht, google searches etc and found nothing

Nope, I have nothing either- definitely a fake. Good on you for realizing looking up the unit is the simplest way for anyone to recognize a fake...

Thanks for your time mate.....after reading through here I thought looking for the unit I though looking for the unit would be a good place to start!!! It wasn't an attempt to deceive me, it was a disk someone got 15 years ago for nothing

We suspected it was fake, but just wanted to confirm...German units got reorganized and renamed so much we thought there may be a chance, but an SS unit named like that just didnt seem right

I will post a pic in post war made disks section for reference purposes
