I am looking at this tag but I would like some second opinions before I part with my cash.

Hi, it will be fake, as the text on the tag is not correctly written out. "Waffen SS Prinz Eugen" is wrong. I think you will also find the SS runes are a known fake style. Have a look through some of the old threads here.

Yup, that 'Prinz Eugen' disc is utter crap- not even a good fake. Definitely save your money booboo.

The reverse looks like multiple marks from the jaws of a vise, maybe used to impress the stamping?

Interestingly, that dotted pattern is how some tags were 're-written; a stamp with a series of teeth was struck over old text and new text was stamped beside. That entire surface being obscured makes me wonder if it was a real disc that someone decided to 're-use' for the PE fake...
