turkish id tags using German disks
I have what I think is a Turkish tag made from a German POW tag. Cant show it yet as its still in transit, the pic was not good quality so will wait until it arrives. I wanted to do a search on the site to see if anything had been listed like it before, but could not see how to do that...... any help please.....paul.

Use the Google Custom Search box in the upper right hand of every page on the forum. Try a variety of key words.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

It is a EKM from 1. Kompanie Turkestanisches Bau-bataillon 402.
I have found some other examples of this Bataillon on a Russian website. To my knowledge it is not uncommon that these Ost units received EKM as the one in the OP's post.

Good tag IMO, I have another stamped the same way.

Ah yes, all makes sense now. Agreed, a good one.

Is it common to re-use POW tags?
-
I have not seen any other units re-purposed this way.
