two Erkennungsmarken - recent purchase

purchased these together; Ive search on internet, forum and lexikon der wehrmacht.
please confirm that BAU 114 would be construction battalion - and according to lexikon der wehrmacht was disbanded in 1940 -

Construction Battalion 114 was deployed on August 26, 1939 in Military District VIII. The battalion was made up of RAD units as an army force. The battalion was initially deployed to the 8th Army in southern Poland. On October 31, 1939, the battalion was moved from Military District XXI to Military District VIII. There the battalion was officially dissolved on January 23, 1940.


the second disk i could not find out much - ersatz-batterie 10. Any ideas? Who were they replacement for? Are batteries - artillery?

Hello Joe,

two nice erkennungsmarken you got there, I like them.
You are right about the Bau-Bataillon 114 emarke, it is from the 2. Kompanie.

The second one is from 5. batterie, leichte Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 10. This unit was raised on 26 august 1939 in Regensburg, Wehrkreis XIII.
